Ruby Port is both a classification and a description. It is the youngest of all ports, generally lightest, least expensive, and requires no decanting or aging. Ruby pairs with blue cheeses, chocolate, and fruit desserts and is a secret ingredient in various sweet and savory dishes. And contrary to its reputation, not all Ruby is sugary and simple. Quinta do Infantado is a small independent family producer who has bottled a full range of their terroir-driven estate wine since 1816. Their Ruby is drier with plenty of structured plum, berry, spice, and character.
