Founded in July 1890, La Rioja Alta built its brand on the '890' and '904' series of Gran Reservas. From then on, new properties and vineyards were acquired as they became available. The winery is still going strong by maintaining very high standards for its labels, including Viña Ardanza, Viña Arana, and Viña Alberdi. The Reserva 2018 Viña Alberdi is 100% Tempranillo fermented in steel tanks before aging in American new oak barrels for two years. Medium-bodied, juicy, and approachable with supple tannins, strawberry, vanilla, toast, and milk chocolate. Ready to drink anytime with meat, games, grilled food, cheese, and sausages.
