Early Mountain cultivates 55 acres in the shadow of Shenandoah National Park. They specialize in classic French vinifera wines, but Chambourcin is one of their rare hybrids that shows surprisingly well and has similarities to Cab Franc and Syrah. Chambourcin is also a teinturier grape, meaning the flesh and skin contain color, so Young Wine has a deep purple color that's just as appealing as its palate of black olive, pepper, red flowers, and juicy blue fruit. Chill it and enjoy it with BBQ, grilled foods, and summer fare. It's a total glou-glou wine and a great stand-in for Beaujolais.
