Cakebread is well known for its Cabs, but this is "next level" because it's all high-elevation single-vineyard mountain fruit sourced from Napa's Howell Mountain sub-AVA. Winemaker Stephanie Jacobs' 2017 vintage is a blend of Dancing Bear Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon (89%), Cabernet Franc (10%), and Merlot aged for 22 months in French oak (60% new). It's an elegantly structured Cab with integrated tannins that's drinking now through 2040.
