We've been fans of Henri Marionnet's wines for years, both his eponymous line and Terres Blondes. Henri's son, Jean-Sébastien, now heads up the Domaine de la Charmoise estate and is committed to continuing high-end, low-intervention, organic farming. For Terres Blondes, Marionnet contracts with selected organic growers to create soulful well-priced Vin de France that's been over-delivering for a decade. We especially love their year-round Gamay because it's so "Loire" with plenty of earth & black olive notes over the dense blue fruit with just 12% ABV. When you're in the mood for some oomph, skip the Beaujolais and try whole-cluster, semi-carbonic, concrete-aged Terres Blondes.
