The wines by Le Marie are so impressive that we like to sell them in pairs: this Bianco blend of Muscat/Malvasia and an absolutely seductive Nebbiolo. The Pinerolese DOC is probably new to most people: it is an obscure region west of Turin, near France, nestled among national parks on both sides of the border. The vineyards were spared the ravages of WWII, so truly old vines still flourish in Barge, within the hamlet of Assarti. Blanc de Lissart is a blend of steel-vinified Malvasia and Muscat, delivering plenty of aromatics while remaining bone dry with notes of lemon thyme, citrus, orchard fruit, and super bright acidity. Pair with cheesy pasta, seafood, and risotto.
