Clement et Florian Berthier took over from their father, who moved to the region in 1983 and started his winery. Today, the sons produce wine from 80 acres of estate vineyards across Sancerre, Pouilly Fumé, Menetou-Salon, and Côteaux du Giennois. These winemakers thoroughly understand the local varietals and terroir, and it is evident in this Sauvignon Blanc, which offers notes of limestone minerals, lush white fruit, and floral aromas. In comparison, this Côteaux du Giennois is a bit richer, more textured and expressive than the usual Sancerre, so it makes a great pairing with fish and white meat in butter sauces, lobster & crab, and creamy cheeses.
