Brothers Stamatis & Antonios Mylonas are third-generation winemakers in the Attica region of southern continental Greece (an important detail in a country of many islands). The family cultivates 42 acres of old-vine (45-65 years old), dry-farmed, low-yield red & white varietals in the sub-region of Keratea. Although the grape was made famous by the island of Santorini, this wine is 100% Assyrtiko grown in Olympos and Skinti Marthi (both in East Attica). The fruit is steel-fermented with indigenous yeasts and left on the lees for 12 weeks. That's it. Definitely a pick for fans of Sancerre, Albarino, and Muscadet: crisp, minerally, light, and maritime with notes of flint, citrus, and green nectarine. Perfect for fish and shellfish.
