We're guessing the label hasn't changed much since Fatalone was founded by Filippo Petrera five generations ago, but don't let this old-school bottle mislead you. Pasquale Petrera makes Teres (14.5% ABV!) in a uniquely easygoing style. His Primitivo (aka Zinfandel) is all free-run juice with 30 hours of skin contact and no oak-aging, resulting in a light red wine closer to rosé. We like to give it a nice chill so the raspberry, cherry, and herb notes really burst out of the glass. Pair with cheeses, roasted chicken and pork, and light pastas.
