Karina and Guillaume Lefèvre fell in love while hiking in Corsica and ended up in Provence as a part of a program subsidizing young people to take up farming. In 2004, the couple purchased the 71-acre Domaine de Sulauze in Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence and turned it into a polycultural biodynamic estate that grows barley, wheat, olives, and grapes. Like all their other products, Pomponette is unfined/unfiltered, wild yeast rosé made from limestone-rich Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Mourvedre, and Vermentino (Rolle), resulting in a pale, crisp, racy wine with very low sulfites and lots of red berry flavor.
