Abymes is a small alpine region in the Savoie AOC, right near the borders of Switzerland and northwestern Italy. The Perrier family has been making wine here since 1853, before the tourists and the skiers came, and they have preserved a great many acres of farmland to keep making old-school wines. Cuvee Gastronomie is 100% hand-picked Jacquere vinified in steel tanks for the purest expression of crisp fruit with notes of green pear, stones, grapefruit, and plenty of mountain herbs.
