Before New Zealand Sauvignon became commonplace in the States, Dog Point was already making their legendary Sauvignon Blanc in the late 1970s. As wineries competed for the biggest, fruitiest wines with the most herbs and cat pee, Dog Point stayed true to the grape's French heritage. We call Dog Point the "Sancerre of Marlborough" because it's dry, structured, and elegant, expressing lemon, lime, pink grapefruit, thyme, green apple, stone, and floral notes.
