Named after the migratory indigenous people of Patagonia, Chono is representative of Chilean winemakers like Álvaro Espinoza, who travel throughout Chile looking for the best fruit and terroir. The single-vineyard fruit from Colchagua Valley is macerated for 35 days, yielding intensely fragrant notes of berries, plums, black pepper, cloves, coffee, and mint notes; aging takes place in oak barrels for 12 months. Chono is structured yet velvety with a long finish, which pairs well with grilled meats, tamales, stews, and veggie casseroles like Ratatouille.
