The first trace of the Bisol family in the heart of Veneto’s prime Prosecco area dates back to 1542. Originally, they began as grape growers for other wineries, but in 1875, they started vinifying small quantities of their own juice. There are many wineries in this region of the Veneto, but most of them own very small parcels of land, and this requires them to buy fruit from many different growers in order to make wine. Because Bisol insists on maintaining tight control over every phase of production & winemaking, they have acquired over 100 hectares of prime land in the prestigious hillside vineyards of the most recognized zones of the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG. This ensures that even after nearly 500 years, Gianluca Bisol always has the choicest grapes for their wines.
